Overview: 

As a Humanities and Western Civilization student, you'll engage with the ideas and histories of other cultures. Our emphasis on values, ethics and civil debate will sharpen your critical thinking skills. You'll examine key issues relating to human experiences from a variety of perspectives, including philosophy, history, religion, literature, art and language. Never has the term "well-rounded education" been more apt to describe our graduates!

Our flexible curriculum makes it easy for you to tailor your Humanities education to fit your interests. We offer three tracks for you to choose from:

1) Civilization in a Global context

2) World Literatures

3) Peace and Conflict Studies

Career options: 

In an increasingly complex world, Humanities gives you a strong foundation to move comfortably among the variety of human experiences and perspectives. With this well-rounded education under your belt, you'll be primed for success in any field, from including business to biological sciences, medicine to marketing, sales to social services.
