Overview:

As a student in KU's Department of Philosophy, you will learn about the core areas of philosophy, and use this knowledge to analyze solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing humanity.

The discipline of business ethics began at KU with the pioneering work of Richard De George and KU's Philosophy department remains committed to pressing social and political concerns. Feminist philosophy, social and political philosophy, and moral philosophy are among the highlights of current research and teaching in the department.

The goal of philosophy is to understand ourselves, our world, our values, and the entirety of existence around us.
