Overview: 

Do you ever wonder why someone acted a certain way, or what someone was thinking? These are questions that you will begin to answer as a major in KU's Department of Psychology, as you seek to understand human behavior, thinking, and emotion. The Psychology department mission includes the discovery and dissemination of laws and principles pertaining to both individual and group psychological functioning.

As a Psychology major you will be equipped with the knowledge and methods that will place you at the forefront of progress in the psychological disciplines for the 21st century.

Career options: 

Psychology majors study the science of people. Regardless of what career field you go into, you will interact with others, and your Psychology education at KU will help you build stronger relationships and interaction with other people.
